Great family-run Guest house!I have stayed at Eucalyptus Guest House on three separate occasions during this past year, and I can honestly say that it is my home away from home while in Haiti. The hosts, the Jean-Louis’, have always been more than accommodating. From catering to my vegetarian diet, to the warmness of their household staff, the hospitality at Eucalyptus truly cannot be beat.
One of my favorite parts about staying at the Jean-Louis’ is getting to meet the wide variety of guests that find their way to Eucalyptus. During my stays I've had the pleasure of meeting a vacationing world-renown bird watcher, a Haitian historian, aid-workers, and countless missionaries from all over the world, to name a few. I love the family-like ambiance amongst the guests, which is undoubtedly fostered by the welcoming and open demeanor of the Jean-Louis’. By the end of my first stay I truly felt as though I was part of the family! Whether you're a short-term visitor to Haiti, or looking for a place to call home during an extended stay, I’d highly recommend Eucalyptus Serenity Haven!Mr. and Mrs. Jean Louis are passionate about customer service and making you feel at home. The staff as well are friendly, courteous and extremely helpful in making your stay pleasant and safe. Their house is pleasantly decorated with a spa feel and simple beauty of nature. This is truly a little piece of serenity, a gem and haven in the mist of Port-Au-Prince. From the time you are picked up to drop off you feel their charm and attraction. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to be back. - Estime
The perfect stay in
We were so lucky to discover this little slice of heaven only 10 minutes from the Port au Prince airport! Ernso, Gina and Christina were the perfect hosts. They catered to our every request & did not mind when we had guests from Port au Prince come to visit while we were there, enjoying the beautiful pool. The food alone is worth the visit - unique & delicious dishes that you would expect to find in a nice restaurant; & all included in the price of the stay. I am recommending to all my friends going to Port au Prince and we will be back again next year for another visit. Mesi Famille Jean-Louis. See you soon.
-Barb Reinke, April 2013 Such a blessing...Such a blessing to have such a wonderful piece of property in the middle of Port-au-Prince. Eucalyptus has managed to preserve invaluable forestry which has paid homage to the survival of endangered bird species native to only the island of Hispaniola.
http://bagsy-thecaptainslog.blogspot.com/2013/03/goats-head-soup-rolling-stones.html A home away from home...I have stayed at Eucalyptus on my past four trips to Haiti and I really can't imagine staying anywhere else. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and meals are punctuated by delicious food and hearty laughter. You will not find a more gracious set of hosts than Ernso and Gina Jean-Louis. They truly treat you like family.
