Meet Gabriel...

Picture
Gabriel Edner's jewelry has been awing our guests ever since we connected a little over a year ago. On your right you can view a small selection of his vibrant beaded necklaces, bracelets, and hand crafted cow horn bijoux which can take up to a week to complete. Each work is done with precision, finesse, and creativity. And because it is completely handmade, no piece is identical, leaving clients with a one of a kind piece that will last a lifetime. Gabriel is flexible and loves crafting his jewels to his clients liking so if you're interested in a customized piece just let us know the details and we will handle the rest.

Meet Micheline...

Micheline Deciuse takes immense pride in the products she creates from scratch. She has served as a leader in her community at Martissant through literally turning trash into beautifully hand crafted bags, baskets, clutches, belts, and more.

Deciuse loves her country  and shows this via transforming her country through recycling.

Her small enterprise stands between her and abject poverty - the money gained from her trade allows her to feed her family as well as those of her 3 employees.

Take a moment , enjoy her work. And if you are interested in something, order today!

Meet Rose Michele...

Picture
Rose Michele Veilard is one of our prized entrepreneurs. Please take a moment to notice the originality of her products.

All work is created from recycled goods she finds in Port-au-Prince communities. From her clay tablets, wooden engravings to the fiber glass she infuses with clay, each product is distinct, beautiful, and simply timeless.

With the profits from her work Rose supports her family and works to train young artisans in her trade at her atelier "Le Plasticiens Creations" in Martissant.

Meet Frederic

Picture
Jacmel, a city characterized by its vibrant festivities and picturesque landscapes is home to one of our dynamic entrepreneurs, Frederic Gercelyn. For over 10 years Frederic, a seasoned artisan, has used his artistic ingenuity to create beautiful placemat sets, key-chains, wooden sculptures, festive carnival masks, and other varied products.

His specialized crafts are each an expression of Haiti’s diverse culture & the euphoric reality he envisages for his country. He handcrafts each item and delicately adorns each of his pieces with that special something which distinguishes his work from the rest. Frederic is recently married and currently has a few who assist him in his craft. He travels four hours every week into the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan area to sell his art and usually comes back home empty-handed.
Frederic wants to share this hidden beauty with the world & hopes you would join him in this mission.

Meet Louisna...

Picture
Louisna has been creating jewelry for a couple of years now. Her use of beautiful, homemade beads made from reused paper and cardboard materials give her creations a truly unique touch. Working in an HPCD incubator at their Martissant site, Louisna employs four other women who all come from the same vulnerable neighborhood. She envisions a bright future for her family, neighbors and country and continues to work to ensure that it becomes a reality.

Louisna's necklace and bracelet creations come in a myriad of color combinations and sizes. Just let us know your preferences and we will customize your order today!

Meet Beltidizay...

Picture
Junior Mercier, a talented young artist, known by most as “Beltidizay,” which literally means pretty lil design in Haitian Creole, aims to offer an alternative positive perception of Haiti: a Haiti that is rich in creativity, diversity, and natural & cognitive resources.
The singer/songwriter, turned painter and calligraphist showcases his pride and vision for his country through his art every single day.

"If it looks good, or if you’re talented, you can not be Haitian. I want to help change that. All Haitians, especially young people should contribute to this challenge. It will always be a source of pride for me to say I'm Haitian." states Beltidizay.

Take a second to look at a few of his ready to wear-customizable pieces. Let's join in the cause and support Beltidizay today.

Meet les hommes de bouteille...

Picture
Where one sees despair,  catastrophe, and violence another will see possibility, creativity, and passion. Cite Soleil, that is, Sun City, globally viewed as one of the most vulnerable slums in the world, houses some of the most innovative people one may ever know.  Bouteille (literally meaning bottles) is an area used by a few residents of the Cite Soleil area to simply create. This once deserted space has now transformed into a workshop where a small group of artisans create beautiiful glasses from recycled glass bottles.

These dynamic entreprenuers literally go into their surrounding communities and clean up filthy bottles - from Snapple to beer to Coca-Cola, you will find it all. Once they return to Bouteille they rigorously clean the the glass bottles, wax them, shape them, and paint them until they are transformed into delicate glass cups - benefiting everyone. These entreprenuers work arduously day in & day out, to not only assist in keeping their neighborhood and the surrounding areas clean but to earn a sustainable income for their families. Interested in having a glass of your own? Just let us know.

Meet Euclide

Picture
With over ten years of experience in design & the creation of custom fitted garments, Euclide Bonheur is an expert in her field. These linen garments are a tiny sampling of the skills she embodies. She can create almost any garment or piece of clothing - just give her about 48 hours and she will be sure to work her magic.

While life has relentlessly tried her at every turn, Euclide's story is one that illustrates resilience, diligence & perseverance.
In the wake of the 2012 earthquake, Euclide lost her mother under the rubble of the home that they both shared. Her bubbling start up Corinne Hub Couture which had been recently relocated to a spacious venue minutes from the busy streets of Delmas had become debris in a matter of seconds. All she had worked for - gone.

While life threw discouragement at every corner, Euclide decided not to succumb.  Diligently she rebuilt her life again one day at a time. She met her future husband & has now started to build a family. Euclide still creates beautiful custom fitted clothing & has recently launched a pret-a-porter line of linen hand painted shirts featured on your left.

Interested in a piece of your own? Just drop us a line & we can have it created in less than 48 hours.
